New clue tomorrow morning, something that will narrow your focus or strategy a bit.

Sorry for the headaches-- remember, this is supposed to be fun! Now take 2 aspirin and log on in the morning

Is your guess the exact answer to your formula? Or did you round it out from the answer?

OK Nathan, GoldenChest, and others... gonna throw you a bone for your diligence. It was a straightforward formula; slight rounding was necessary but once you hit upon the underlying premise the rounding should not be a problem.

Is the number related to the latitude and longitude of the place where the coin's being sold?

J-win-- no. And as a reminder, the number has something to do with the coin itself.

Putting my Chem Geek on for a moment:

You said think small, so how about we go microscopic!

4.831 635x10^22 is the aproxamate sum of the number of Cu and Ni atoms in a Nickel of exactly 5 grams mass, such as a 1913 nickel.

Depending on rounding, minting tolerances and surface contaminats, this Nickel could have an atom count of 4.836350x10^22. Ergo $1 for every 100^21 atoms: 100 for the 100 years between the year on it and this year and 21 for the number of years that it has been in the hands of its's last owner.

EDIT: if it aint that, Ima might gonna give up.

or whatever the units are for the Liberty nickel and statue liberty, either in amu/mol or g/mol or grams, or amu, or kg/mol, or mol/kg.

It's too late for me, I'll be back tomorrowwww
