I'm looking for a giveaway, like the first person to post wins 50 Wheaties.

Huh?

Are you giving away 50 wheats? Or are you asking one of us to?

That's not quite how giveaways work...

Umm.. you can't just ask for a giveaway, that's like going to a coin shop and asking: Do you guys have any coin that I can have for free?
Someone has to actually create a giveaway contest...
This is ridiculous...

^^^ that's what I was getting at but figured I'd ask first...

Well you sure don't just ask people to give you coins.... No offense but that's pretty bad form/manners... Etc, especially to have posted within your first 5 posts, lol. As mentioned above that'd be like going into a LCS and asking for freebies.... It's generally frowned upon. Do you want to send me some coins if I ask you? In that case, can you send me a Seated Half? Any date but MS please... Lol, but I mean seriously, if you saw a post with someone just straight up asking for freebies would you just be like "sure, they'll/it'll be in the mail tomorrow"....?

Giveaways are for when someone feels generous and feels like doing one... Not for people to "ask" for coins. They can be done such as- "the first to post", or "first new collector".... "First who wants it". And contests are just that... Contests. With both giveaways and contests the rules are made by the OP/poster...

Dayton A member of coin community may post one at any given time, they do this out of the goodness of their hearts. It is not a recurring theme so to speak, it's random. This forum where you have posted is the correct place too find them, you can also find many other fun games like guess the price etc.

Welcome too Coin Community, I recognise your name from somewhere? Any ideas where?

Uh, let me help you. It's suspicious when you join our forum asking for coins in a giveaway.
Your intentions are questionable.
This forum first and foremost is an educational and knowledge sharing forum.

Nathan pretty much got it right. I mean it is weird to be doing this. You only have 2 posts so at this point I could confer that you registered in this website only to get free coins...
Giveaways are for people who have enjoyed this forum and feel like they have something to give back. Heck, I got a few hundred world coins lying around that I'd be happy to give to a fellow CCF member if they'd come to my house and pick them up. I think you get the message. You want some free coins? Become a active member of this forum for a few months and I'd be happy to send you some.

Well the issue is pretty much: Shipping!
I mean, there's about 500 coins weighing a good 5kg's with the 2x2 holder's that they're in plus I've got another tub of coins that are 6.6lb's. Shipping would cost a lot more than they're worth. If you're ever in Calgary though, I'd be happy to turn them over. They're just catching dust in my drawers anyways. My motto is: If you can haul em' you can have em'!

OK I'm sorry. I saw a lot of 30 Wheaties for free and thought I would ask. I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't know how it works. Thanks for telling me! :-)

Thanks but I was going for fun, but I'm sure my 3/4 ton diesel will carry them. Some day I will get out that way.
Rest in Peace
