I created this image to simulate the effect of super charging the glow in the dark effect. I don't have the coin so I can't actually do it for real. It is possible under the right light to see the glow in the dark effect in daylight. I used it in my ebay presale auction. I know its priced high but I wasn't actually intending to sell any at that price: http://www.ebay.com/itm/26116558957....m1555.l2649I know it is my image because I overlayed two skeleton images on the coin and accidentally created a double wing bone. This is the auction that copied mine: http://www.ebay.com/itm/30085815154....m1438.l2649Same image just without the green boarder. They even copied some of my unique verbiage, granted most can be easily taken from the mint. The worst part is; its someone who post here on this forum. Edited by Dooby Rak 02/08/2013 07:55 am

I messaged the person. I want to give them the opportunity to remove it on their own without involving ebay. But that is the next step.

I dont care who it is, a lengthy suspension is deserved, at the very least. We have been complaining about this for years. Anyone hanging around here for any lengh of time should know our consensus on this matter. Aside from being a high degree of fraud, it affects the trust level between us, just being associated w/this seller.

@Dooby Rak: Sorry, I was the one who used your image. I thought it was a generic image used by the Mint and I didn't realize that you had gone through the effort yourself. Obviously none of us have the actual coins, so taking pictures of the actual coin is not an option. Please accept my apologies.

Can't be to hard on them. This is a presale and everyone listing is breaking ebay rules: Quote:You're not allowed to use the following if you're not authorized to do so by the owner, its agent, or the law: Photos and text from other ebay users Photos and text copied from websites Scans from catalogues or advertisements Almost every single auction is using the same images stolen from the mint. My problem is it took me a half hour to an hour to make that auction and someone just blatantly steels it. That's just "GREASY" and the Trailer Park Boys would put it. Edit: Don't worry. Misunderstanding happen. Just remove the image and the two coin image with the box. That's mine too. I have to admit I stole the other images from the mint web site.

@Dooby Rak: Again, I didn't realize that you "made" the image yourself... I thought it was a generic image (which actually tells you how good it was). And you are right that "we are all breaking the rules".

How can you be so upset that someone decided to use an image you posted on ebay when you freely admit taking copyrighted images from the RCM site? That violates the RCM's Intellectual Property policy. The RCM has the right to come after you and seek financial compensation - read their policy.

This is just wrong, using someone else's talent for their gain. I will admit using someone else's images for my own use, but I ask for their permission first. I have not had anyone say no...yet. Always cite your sources when using something that is not yours; that's basic referencing 101. BTW, that is a very good job you did there in the OP.

@Dooby Rak: Might I suggest that you put a watermark or something with your ID across it because it will be more difficult for another person to copy. You did a really good job on that and it looks like genuine a RCM image.... so there will be many people doing the same thing that I just did.

Kind of like bootlegging movies or music. I don't feel I'm doing anything wrong steeling from the mint even though I am. But steeling from another seller, that's low. As ebay sellers we can't expect to make as much profit on our items as the mint so when someone take the time to make images for their auction and someone steels them, it just seams more wrong. I'm not advocating theft of intellectual property, but it is just so easy. Nothing really that can be done to stop it. How are you going to sue a little guy who makes a couple hundred dollars profit on ebay. Your legal costs to initiate a law suit will be in the thousands. Just a suggestion; the Mint should be using watermarks to protect their images.

By the way this guy did the same thing I did: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Quetzalcoat...em2c6c4fd860 Really nice image, better than mine. I don't mind if someone copies me creating their own version of my image. But just downloading it and reusing it bothers me.
