My mother-in-law was in town to visit and gave my wife a Series 1934A $10 bill that my wife had as a child. It's been folded up, and my research shows it's likely not worth much more than $10. I'm a coin collector, but it piqued my interest in old currency.

The sentimental value will be more then catalog value no matter what I would think. http://www.uscurrencyauctions.com/$10notes.htm
I recommend putting it in a plastic holder and label it with the history behind it.

Unless it was a Hawaii or North Africa 1934A then unfortunately yes it is worth perhaps $15
If you could show us a picture of it that'd be great! We always love pics.

Also cheezy, would you happen to have a wantlist of US Currency? I may have spare extra bills lying around.

Would you mind PM'ing me through the forum? I only have a few bills in my collection today (some $2 bills, a 1957 silver certificate, and now this 1934 $10). I'd be interested to hear what you have.

Too bad she didn't keep 10 old Morgans instead of the $10 note.
