Oh ok, so no bird pic on this COA, good to know. Thank you everyone for checking - really appreciate it ! It does unfold to 5 of the original square in length but it is a lot shorter in length compared to the other ones, and the font used for the text looks a lot smaller. I guess don't worry about it then ?
What about scratches on the obverse - looks like a couple of black marks too - is that something you would worry about on these nickel plated coins ?
@ Sunfish: no, it wasn't me. I got this one last week for $270.

I kinda like this bird coin series, and seeing how some of the older bird coins have risen in price, it seems like this is a good set it get into. Any cons to this series?

Its a very expensive series to collect if you don't have the older ones. For the Nuthatch and Cardinal, I've paid more than my rational self would approve of. I think the prices are getting beyond irrational...

would you return the coin given the scratches and small black marks on the obverse ? (The reverse with the bird image seems ok).

I would not worry about it. It's only the queen you never look at that side

I purchased a Cardinal for 245$ with shipping last November from ebay and once received, had two small black lines on the obverse, one over the queens forehead and another off to the side. These were noticeable and asked for a refund as the seller told me this coin was flawless. I may sound picky over these small markings but I like to have my personal collection flawless or without any real visible markings.

Yea, I agree with sunfish. I would much rather not have scratches or marks on my coins. I would send it back.
I also picked up the 25cent Mallard and Robin coins today, they look very nice!

I see some small black lines on the one I just purchased too, along with lots of small scratches all over the queen - what do people do to these coins to get them so scratched up and marked with black anyway ? <scratching my head> The seller told me he had this coin since he got it from the mint and it has never been taken out of the capsule. Very disappointing !

may be they throw it and play fetch with their dog may be they let their toddler use it as a rattle toy um...I dunno...its a mystery. My coins are all kept in a secure cabinet and they never get scratched. I can't imagine...
