Boy are the guesses coming in fast and furious now !

I lost, but according to my wife, that's to be expected.

I think I've been dissed.

If any of the last 4 askers want to ask (xZACKx, perfessor Voshus007, Buddy), do it now, regardless of order. This needs to be sped up a bit.

I didn't know Newfoundland made only 3 dates in 8 years (until now)...
I suppose a guess now would be unnecessary. Now the only thing to do is to wait and see who's right.

Well...my question...and I warned you earlier that I was afraid it would be a stupid question, IS:

Should this contest have been just 10 questions?

Yeah, I think so.

Okay, here it is!

New-Game---21-Questions---Contestants-Wanted!

New-Game---21-Questions---Contestants-Wanted!

Congrats to upstate!

1.The University of Calcutta - The design of the coin is from a model by GW De Saulles (did the portrait model of the coin) who was the artist for the following Strait Settlements coins; 1903 1 Cent, 1905 1/4 cent, 1908 1/4c. All of these coins were minted by the Calcutta Mint of India.
2.John Pinches - John Robert Pinches, medalist, sie-sinker etc. was born in 1884 and dies on 11 02 68 (Feb 11, 1968.) Every digit in that date added together (1+1+0+2+6+8) gives us 18. Simplified: 1+8 = 9! And thats our date! Something of '09 (1909).
3.Statue of Liberty - Made of Copper.

----------

Now that we've tried it out, do you people think it would be better to lower the number of questions, or something else to speed things up?
Thanks!

Dang, of the three dates I had originally typed 1909, but then I researched John Pinches and saw the original John Pinches, medalist, died in 1905 so I chose 1904H instead...

This was fun to follow along but I have to say that given a hundred questions I would probably still not have guessed. So maybe the number of questions doesn't matter...maybe just one per person and one per day or something.

Still -- as it was -- it was fun to follow along and I learned a bit too. So, thanks.
