Here's a little contest for you guys. I've won so many awesome prizes here from great people that it's only right to hold my own fun contest.

Requirements: You must have at least 50 posts and live in the US.

The Rules: Guess the coin that has to do with the following riddle, and you must explain how you got your answer.

Prizes: Two of whatever the answer to the riddle is and also one coin picked at random from my small foreign mystery bag.

The Riddle:

Don't step in the water, for the crabs have been known to swarm
Envision the future and you'll be suprised to see a koi
More than one have fallen victim to wishing upon the wrong star
Come closer and you just may find that this pigeon is actually an eagle

Clues will come in time if no one guesses the answer.

Good Luck!

Clue #1. One of Bob Marley's children

Clue #2. It's 15 years ago, and after some fish and chips, the man's temperature got up to 103 degrees.

Is it the US Quarter?

- The Maryland Statehood Quarter did *not* feature the Blue Crab, which caused many residents to complain.
- A Koi will exist on one of the upcoming ATB Quarters?
- "Wrong star" is a reference to 15 vs 13 stars on the Draped Bust design?
- Early designs had a scrawny eagle that many thought looked like a pigeon.

Oops, didn't see the two clues before I posted.

Ziggy Marley and a feverish British meal in 1998 throws my guess for a loop...

No Cheezyfryes. The less thinking the better for this "riddle"

I take that as "US Quarter" is incorrect.

I was hoping you were going to send me a Bust Quarter and "Scrawny Eagle" quarter as the prize!

2 more clues:

Clue #3. Weave

Clue #4. When finding the answer, you'll realize that the coin name is abbreviated. And when the answer is found, whoever finds it will have no doubt that they have the right answer.

No, keep trying. Seeing that New Zealand made a coconut scented case made me laugh though, very strange but cool at the same time.

ZM is the abbreviation for Zambia.

Zambia is an exporter of crabs.

Fish & Chips is a reference to former British rule.

I learned the old currency was just rebased within the past year. I assume a future coin/note will feature a koi?

All current Zambian coins feature people weaving: 5 Ngwee, 10 Ngwee, 50 Ngwee, 1 Kwacha. There's a scrawny-ish bird atop the weave, which appears to actually be an eagle.

The same/similar design was present on a 1998 100 Kwacha coin, which may be a reference to your "15 years ago" comment?

I hope I'm close enough! If you give me another hint maybe I can choose the exact denomination you're looking for in the Kwacha series.

At first I was bummed that I was too new to qualify, but then I realized I would have had no shot at winning anyway!

I'm sorry to say Cheezyfryes, but it has nothing to do with Zambia. It's just a crazy coincidence that all those things have to do with Zambia. I'm impressed by all the research you've done so far though.
