1878-S-VAM-?--17?Some sort of chip or doubling on last 8 in Date

4th Star to the right chipped similar to VAM-17

Looks to have arepunched mintmark.

Liberty also shows some minor doubling

Any Ideas on VAM and grade?

Thanks CCF!

The mint mark position looks like it is not far enough to the left for VAM17. If you have doubled LIBERTY it rules out VAM17 anyways. Have you gone to Vamworld and clicked on B2 reverses to sort by PUPs?

The grade looks like high AU to possibly MS61/62. Hard to tell with the toning.
