Ok, I searched first but hoping SsuperDdave or someone else could help identify this one. It's a 1904-O. Hope the pictures help if not I can supply more.. Thanks in advance. Scott

A good place to start with this date/mm is the mint mark position. A full photo of the obverse and reverse would be beneficial to narrow down possibilities as well.

Thanks Dave, here's a shot of the reverse in entirety. I'm hoping you or someone else can point me in the right direction. Thanks again..

okay, looking at vamworld could it be VAM10 or VAM10A? I don't see anything listed where the die break is as large as it is on this coin. I'm also not sure whether the mint mark is doubled or not...

Very nice job on the pics. An obv. pic will be needed. your mm doesn't seem to be doubled.

I think your coin is a VAM that does not have full photos of the obverse & reverse on the VAMworld page or a later die state of one that does not exhibit die cracks on the coin listed. If there is not any notable die breaks or field displacement from die cracks there will not be a separate sub listing. Maybe one of the more seasoned Vammers will recognize this and chime in.

Per Chris's request for an obverse pic here it is. I'm hoping someone can lend a hand. Not sure about this one.

I don't really see any doubling Chris but that doesn't mean it isn't there.. These old eyes ain't what they used to be. I'm looking through a 10x loupe but nothing is jumping out at me as far as that goes.

Very nice ! photo's....not a VAM 10 or 10A....Many VAM's are known by the small attributes and not there die cracks unless they are part of the VAM designation, in fact usually for non high rated VAM, full photo's are not shown as the full photo is not required to discern the VAM but rather its doubled this or that.....Perhaps one day even common VAM's can have full photo's to help quickly ID such Vams as those...G

I'm still stumped. Your pics are really good. But, I'm still at a loss. You may want to get a larger loupe.

I can't tell whether or not you have a dbl profile. Check VAM 11A. Look for the die chip in the wreath near RI in America.

Thanks Chris. I'll take it out and inspect it with my loupe to see if there is any doubling there.

Chris, here's a shot of the "RI" in AMERICA. It looks like there may be some doubling but I'll let you and others more in the know decide. I don't really see the chip you speak of however. Thanks!
