I was doing my usual perusing last night, and there was something about this Trade dollar that grabbed my attention.

What does the CCF think that PCGS had to say about this Lady of Trade?

Thank you for your interest!

Shes a real looker. I'm a sucker for that color on the old coins, shows character and that she has experience

The word is "HONEST."

Not monkeyed with. Has character and experience. [I agree, basebal21]
I would add: "my eyes do not tire at looking at her."
I understand, oih82w8.
Although I would prefer an ever so little darker toning, this coin would most definitely
have me thinking and considering.

Are you thinking of buying?

I wonder who saw this coming? I feel that it is a little low myself, grade-wise, with 16 attributed by PCGS, this one is the lone VF25 "low-ball". The seller states that the doubled details are still visible without magnification...we'll see next week.

Here are some of the details from the next higher graded (VF35) of the same variety, sorry I don't have any larger images yet, to give you an idea of the doubling. I think that it's going to be pretty cool!

Wow. That's a pretty conservative grade.

That's a very sweet Trade dollar. I would have graded it closer to VF-30. Maybe a breakout and resubmit? Just a thought....

I would think that since there are only 16 across the PCGS grading board of this type/variety, and since it is in one of those "new" three finger gaskets, why bother?
