Poll Question
Bought this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/300899271866

Seller told me his wife accidentally sold it in her shop that morning and cancelled the deal.

Now I see this:

http://cgi.ebay.com/300908900076

Are these the same coin?

Yes, I am certain they are the same coin. There are too many identical markers.

Curious to see how this goes. Editing this as the scratch/bag strike to the right of the ear on one coin is not replicated on the other.

Going by the rim ding by the 'O' in ONE. Yes, same coin.

Edited to add: same two little dings by the E in ONE as well.

That may be some debris present after being removed from the 2x2.

Look at the rim dings at 9 and 7:30. Look at the shape and size of the spots on the neck and near the rim at 8:45.

could the discoloring on 'BUS' be washed out in the difference in the lighting? Between that and the scratch by her ear, I am seeing some differences. Am I crazy? I ask this as I don't buy online (and these nuances may be because I am a n00b).

Thanks (always seeking to learn!)

You are welcome.

The differences one sees are from lighting and from one photo being taken in the 2x2, the other raw.

I am going to have to say yes it is. All the little carbon spots ate in the same place and have the same pattern. On the back there is a scratch between th "A" and the "M" and the same dings next to "ONE".

Picked right up on the rim ding @ 9 oclock, right above a small rim split, what are the chances, definitely the same coin.

Yup, definitely the same coin.... The seller apparently didn't get the price he wanted not a cool move, I'd be pretty mad about that..

I'd contact him and ask what the deal is..? Definitely call him out on that, again not cool..

Can cross him off the list of places to buy from.

Seriously how hard is it not to do no reserve auctions if you arent willing to accept the outcome?

Another dead give away is directly under the S in Pluribus there is a groove that leads down to the tip of the cap. I looked at at least 15 different imperfections that were identical. This seller is simply lying because he doesn't want to accept the bid at that price... We should all send him ebay messages telling him this kind of activity isn't accepted in the coin community! Just be fair! If you want a certain price, MAKE A RESERVE PRICE... is it that difficult?

Sorry if I sound aggitated, but I have had similar issues happen to me via ebay. Just frustrating I'm sure. Sorry about this OldSkool
