Great find/buy.
Such deal doesn't come by often, that's why when we find one, it's so great. I haven't have time to go to garage sale/estate sell as I used to (time constrain, gas cost, the populations around here is quite young /suburban, most estate sell are managed by a group of people so they either know their stuffs or overpriced the coin). May be I'll try my luck against, once in a while would not hurt.... Also, I tend to buy other 'antique junks' when I go to these event and filled up the garage.... :(..... the wife is not happy.

Yes, my garage is full, and so are both of my rented storage areas. Books, records, numismaterial, art, stamps, and other etc. And we are talking thousands of books, many thousands of records, a whole stack of coin collection, and beau coup stamps. I got it baaaaaad. And enjoy it.

I just moved and we were sure to buy a house with 4 bedrooms so I could turn one bedroom into my "hobby room". That is where I store and display all my "treasures".

It's about $40 in silver coins.

Speaking of yard sale scores, my wife and I had one a few weeks ago. She ran it during the day while I slept. I put some of my less favored coins in at markup just to test the water. I had my silver eagles in one case, and simple foreign coins in another. Needless to say she ended up selling a 1992 Silver Eagle for $1.00 ...

I heard of a guy who found two solid rolls of 40% silver halves at an estate sale for FACE VALUE. Incredible.

I don't see coins for sale at yard or garage sales. Darn. I will start asking and see if they go inside to get some
