Does anyone have any suggestions about where I can find sealed mint bags of coins, preferably Lincolns? Especially pre 2000's. For sale at decent prices. Thanks in advance.

The only place I can think of is ebay, and the last time I checked, the sellers prices were crazy high. Back in the day I used to pay $65.00 + Postage per $50.00 bag.

How many errors would it take to make the bag worthwhile with average graded coins? maybe 10% of the bag? I don't like those odds very well.

I actually ended up winning it for under 150 and if even a half way decent bag I dont think recovering the extra 50 would be a huge problem. Either way should be fun to search though which is worth at least some of that cost to me

Awesome, I'm glad somebody here got it. Let us know how many near dates you find. I'm not sure what else to look for except SBA's in really nice condition.

Way cool Broken Coin. But you're right. They're a little spendy. I may buy one just for the thrill of the hunt, but I couldn't risk it on those big dollar bags. Thanks for the link.

I have two sealed $50 (10,000 pennies) bags of lincoln cents just sitting in my basement taking up space. One of them is a 1962-P and the other is 1963-P. I'm afraid to open them up though. They seem to be more valuable if they remain sealed, but there's always a chance of some sort of error coin or something in these bags.

After a quick glance through putting them in tubes to check closer later there were at least two near dates that look to be mid MS. Theres several more that could be one but werent the super obvious ones and in all honesty I've never spent much time looking for them. Ill have to recheck though. Overall though the coins were in better shape then I expected, may be a gem or two in there but either way I'm happy with it for the price.
