I found this in a roll of cents. The 1942 cent is slightly smaller in dia. than a normal cent and is way thinner and lighter. I don't know if it is altered or struck on a thin flan.

Very odd. It looks almost like it was "clipped" - like someone's trimmed off the rim.

Either that or it's a fake. Who would fake a cent? Someone who could make one for less than a cent, obviously...
