Just found this 1938 d Mercury dime. The rear rim is messed up. The O in "One" and the UN in "United" are etched out. Seems like the mercury/silver melted over some of the letters and down the rim. It is very very smooth.

Is it worth anything?

Unfortunately, it appears to be PMD. Your coin is worth silver melt value.

Looks like it has "road damage"on the reverse. With that damage it is only worth silver melt value.
