Can someone tell me if this is a clipped error or could it be a broken die . if it isn't was it done at the mint or after ? It doesn't look PMD to me . The edges of the break would not be as flat and sharp as they are . the obverse doesn't show any damage anywhere either .
Thank you Trout , I'm thinking that the planchet was flawed before it was struck ? A piece missing off the planchet , therefore no surface for the die to imprint .
