France 1/16 Ecu / 5 Sols 1702 ? Variety?

vince1977 Pillar of the Community Netherlands 847 Posts	Posted 12/30/2013 05:39 am Dear Forum members, I have an coin in my collection which I can't identify exactly. It looks like some kind of an variety of the France 1/16 Ecu or 5 Sols 1702. It also might have been overstruck if you look at the letters. I am wondering if someone knows which type this is or some other type I don't know yet. The 1/16 Ecu and the 5 Sols both say L.XIIII but mine says LVDXIIII . There are more things that don't look the same. The Diameter is 20 mmm The same as the 1/16 Ecu and 5 Sols 1702. Only this seems to be overstruck and the signs above the head of louis the 14e and on the other side the A at the bottem.
