This coin has a classic design in gold, what more could you ask for?

The mint really ought to show real coins instead of renderings. They look amazing until you remember they're just representations of coins.

Hey guys, so I just got this coin in the mail today and upon inspecting it I noticed something odd. If you look just above the second "A" in Canada, there seems to be a circle that does not fit in well with the rest of the coin. It is not on the coin capsule, rather it is in the actual coin itself. Now I am wondering, is this a defect, is it a part of the design or is it simply a polishing error? Should I get a replacement or keep it as an error coin?

Wow!. That is bad. No idea what that little circle is but it should not be there.

What is happening to the QA at the RCM?!?!?

Neat coin...still too small.

The circle looks interesting, but it from defective errors, that shouldn't be on NCLT coins.

I've decided I will get a replacement. I can understand how a defect could be missed on such a small coin so ill give RCM the benefit of the doubt, but I hope that next time I won't have to go through this again. Thanks for the help guys!

i ordered one because I love the look of it. it should say 5cents but whatever. I was excited to get it in the mail to see what it looks like. I was in Vancouver earlier this week and stopped into the boutique and saw them. I love it.

I must confess...I ordered one as well and received it today. I am not surprised by the size because I knew what I was buying, but I am surprised that I am fully satisfied with my purchase.

I'd still like it to be bigger though if given the option

I wish they made a sized capsule for it. I have a 1/10th oz gold Kangaroo from Australia and it comes in a fitted a capsule and it's presented way better than the 1/25oz RCM gold coins.

The Black Friday is a good opportunity to buy coins but only if they are not sold out.

well, I know the mintage of this is lower than others 1/25 but I willing to take my chance to buy it in secondary market. I got the bluenose for $114 and CA was selling it at $110 at one point. Not saying it will happen with this coin but I am willing to wait. It is one of those "nice to have" but not a big deal if I don't have it.

Rest in Peace

At $3,248.75/ounce, I think I'll be buying gold bullion at $1200-$1400/ounce. With a mintage of 7,500, I don't see this becoming a numismatic 'gold mine' so for the gold purchase.... I'll stick to bullion for the foreseeable future.
