Thanks for sharing your latest purchase. Now if someone can purchase the 1/4oz gold version and share a picture that would be greatly appreciated. The price scares me but the mintage draws me closer to picking up the telephone and ordering one.

That's beautiful, shopaholic!
It looks nicer in your pic than the pic on the mint's site.
I really hadn't taken much notice of it before, but was just checking out the particulars on it. 40mm. First in series. 8500 mintage.
Hmmm. Could be a winner, there.

Since this is the first coin in a series, does anyone know how many coins there will be, how often there will be new ones released and which other animals will be featured?

True. Don't know why they would have done that.

I love it, it is beautiful, your picture does the design so much better than the one on the mint page.
But I don't get it , maybe someone can explain : $84.95, 40 mm , .9999 silver but only 28 grams. 3 short of a troy ounce. Why ? Why not just make it a 1oz round ?

Less silver and higher cost = more profit for mint

If it's a full 1oz coin series, I bet it will be very very popular, look at the SML Wildlife series.

I like it, but I have a rule about collecting 1 oz animal coins. Putting these coins in that collection would ruin it for me.
