One of four Peace dollars my lovely wife picked up for me for my birthday! . She's a Saint to be sure.

Would love to know everyone's thoughts on grade. It has gorgeous luster which unfortunately my picks aren't picking up. I'll have to keep trying to re-shoot this beauty. Also it is a verified VAM-4. Doubled "DOL" and also doubling on the leaf just below the 'O' in Dollar.

MS-60 Here is the list of VAMs for 1925-S if you would like to figure out the variety. It should not be too hard to do to attribute. http://www.vamworld.com/1925-S+VAMs

Thanks 7TF. This one I believe is a VAM 4. The doubling of 'DOL' and the leaf below the 'O' is easily seen. I've updated the pictures so hopefully it shows the luster this coin has a little better.

I would have said MS61 if it was not for the scratches in Lady Liberties hair and the bag marks in the fields. It is still a really nice coin and NGC would probably give it the MS61 maybe even MS62 but I would not pay to get it graded. The VAM is not super rare or anything but it is always nice to be able to attribute your coins. I agree it is the VAM 4, I can see the die scratch above the W in WE.

Yeah, not going to send it in but I have to say, coin in hand, it's luster is incredible. Especially the reverse.

I will say MS-62 ; has the luster of a 63 but the obverse bag hits hold it back

Now that I have had more time to look at it and others graded as MS62 on ebay I agree it is more like a MS62 due to that outstanding luster. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the VAM part of Silver Dollars, that the VAM is all I think about LOL. I could not think of a better gift for your B-Day! I checked the SSDC silver dollar registry and only 2 have been added so it is not a common VAM either.
