Nice. O-107, I think, and a deceptive coin to grade because of the very late die state. I love 1814's; they had cascades of problems with these and all of them have character.

VF-30 for me.

I really like the 1814s too! They're my favorite CBH.


I would agree with a VF-30 for this one. IMO, this is a tough one to grade due to all the die clashes, obverse & reverse.

I also agree with a preliminary Overton of O-107, but I think it's a LDS of that Overton, a 107a. IMO, the die break on the nose helps to differentiate the "prime" and the "a" version. Also the die break/chip that adds extra metal under the date's left 1 upper serif lends me to an Overton of 107a.

Thoughts?

i know nothing about the variety for the series but the die scratches give the coin plenty of appeal
i like that half a lot
