ramsis New Member Egypt 11 Posts	Posted 07/22/2007 12:09 am Hi all, Egypt was declared a Sultanate in 1916 and consequently the tiltle of its ruler changed from Khedieve to Sultan. Egypt's first and last Sultan was Hussein Kamil who ruled for 3 years only as he dided after that and Egypt was declared a Kingdom where his successor became the King of Egypt. Sultan Hussein issued his coins which bear his name and was in piasters and milliemes starting from half a millieme and end with twenty piasters.
