yesterday. Was told it is from Yemen. Forgot to ask what was the year on the coin. Anyone can figure it out?

It says United Arab Emirates right on there, so it's from the UAE. I've got a couple of these myself, but never really tried to determine the year. We'll have to wait for one of our Arabic-enabled experts to drop by.

If I'm reading it right it is AH 1425 which is 2005.

These coins are nice in that they print both dating systems. The date on the right says 2005, which is the date we are familiar with. The one on the left says 1425, which I would have thought is 2005 as well...

It is a 1 dirham coin. Under the odd lamp there are two years written, which were already identyfied.The first(on the left is the christian year 2005.The second is the Hejira year 1425.
