1942 D Quarter Whizzed?

Cleaned, for sure. If you zoom in on it, you can see the scratches from the cleaning cloth that was used. Not a horrible cleaning job, but still.. cleaning a coin does drop its value. Worth its weight in silver is about all, really. If it were slabbed and certified with a good MS, might be worth some bucks, but PCGS would send that back in a bag. Good eye, you have there!

Looks cloth-cleaned although there is an area behind the "pony tail" that looks like die-flow lines. I can't recall ever seeing a Wash Q coin with die flow lines but it's certainly possible. The breast feather detail is fairly weak as well due to strike, wear, or cleaning. This is a coin I would generally pass on - it has kind of a "manipulated" look so often seen on raw coins from ebay.

Definitely not whizzed by the way- whizzing produces short nicks that are very easily seen and not as fine or as shallow as hair lines.
