Thanks for sharing, CoinCanuck
The Lion looks exceptionally good in hand - I also got it. Some nice feature of the outside package - it has image of the coin.
Got it together with "Salmon" coin - that's actually my first and single holo- coin. Well....its bright and alive and the "First Nations" art related - my the reason for purchase. Looks nice together with some other 1/2 oz coins in the "O Canada" box.

Thanks for posting. Both coins look like they're nicely executed.
Hope you enjoy them!

I received my World War II "Home Front" silver dollar during the week. Overall, I am pleased with the coin but have to say that I find it is much tougher to see the detail on this coin vs. the image on the RCM web site. The three female workers with the satiny proof finish are easy to distinguish, but the highly reflective brilliant finish used for the interior frame of the airplane makes it tough to see. All of the frame's "ribs" make for a large number of reflective surfaces. I am finding it hard to find an angle from which to view the coin to see the details of the design. Anyone else having the same difficulties? Here's an image (which doesn't capture all of the detail present on the coin):

Agreed commems. It is hard to see the details and from a distance, all I can see is Charlie's Angels.

But need to say, that the faces have been done much better than on the other recent coins.

I like the mammoths but going for the still non-extinct lion and plentiful salmon.
Silverwood - yes, I agree with you comment about the faces on the avro home front coin...better indeed.
And, red trillium flower getting lot of buzz with the few female collectors within my circle of coin contacts...and I like it too.
I am not collecting dinosaurs but I like this month's Dino release the best so far...
I now await for the August batch...

Kinda of a July release I guess. Parting gift from the home opener last night in Ottawa. Guess it was too expensive to have the RCM produce these.
