So yeah, picked this up from a bin of assorted junk coins at a shop, 1890-S Seated Libery dime that I figured was a bargain pickup for my 7070. Weight is 2.2 grams.

Pretty nasty all right. I've gotten Seated halves for melt in similar condition. It might have been in the ground for a while.

I was going to say the 1 looks funny, but considering all the chiseling around the numerals I think it's OK. It looks like a lot of crud was scraped and rubbed off to make it look as good as it is. Tramp art in a way.
