Hmmm, gold is soft and this is a small coin. I'll say VF-30 or 35.

Yeah, it is kind of hard to see the mint mark or to tell about the cheek scratch on the obverse. Grading will depend a lot on those factors as I seem to recall a weak mint mark version, people can correct me if I'm wrong, and so based on the pics I'll agree with VF+.

This really is a tough design to grade. It doesn't help that the photos are so dark.
I think it's better than VF because there is quite a bit of feather detail on the eagle's shoulder. This is the highest point on the reverse and detail wears down quickly. I've seen AU-slabbed examples that had no more detail than your coin in this area.
Is that a long scratch on the cheek? If so, PCGS may decide to reject the coin. It will be very interesting to learn what they say. If it slabs, I think it should make EF-40 or better.
HABIB, weak mintmarks are very common on these Bela Pratt quarter and half-eagles. I have a 1913-S half eagle graded NGC AU55 and the mintmark is a featureless blob. A bold mintmark on a 1911-D quarter eagle is very desirable and raises the value significantly.
Even with a weak mintmark and a scratch, this is still a valuable coin and I'd love to have it!

The coin has been given its official grade by PCGS and it is an AU55!
