Too bad this one isn't a GSA. Had it imaged recently, I bought it locally for $700. I'm thinking it's a lock 63, shot 64.

I'd say it's a 64 easy. The little black spots and area on her neck hamper the eye appeal slightly.

Am I close when I say this looks like a VAM-6?

With good luster it's a solid 64. An attractive 64 too.

My main concern with it not going 64 is the huge price jump between 63 ($800) and 64 ($1500) in a PCGS holder.

All I can say is WOW - get it to PCGS! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. Lock on 64 - possible 65.

A 65 is a $6,000 coin. I don't feel this coin is at that level. Just in case you're not aware of how much a 65 is worth, lol.

Yeah, it will be submitted, but not for a while, I just got one submission back. I may send a smaller amount of coins in, but if I don't, it probably won't go in for 4-6 months, I like to submit 50+ coins at a time. I'm up to... 3 so far. :) Just bought some stuff tonight off the 'bay, might be a couple more in there.
