I'm "happy" to say that none of the September releases interests me, so I'll be on the sidelines until at least October.

Oh well, turns out I was wrong!

Once I had a chance to view the 1/2 ounce silver gold-plated "Celebrating Canada" coin I decided I'd like to have it in my collection. Its design is clever and well-executed - I like the use of symbolism on coins and this one represents the various major regions of Canada well through the iconic images it portrays. (I'm sure someone will list it with an image on ebay before too long - check it out!)

It would have been great if the RCM had used the design on a slightly larger coin - the one offered is 34mm in diameter - but I have one or two other 34mm coins from them and I find the 34mm size is large enough for the design to work well.

I'm looking forward to receiving it and seeing it "live."

I initially thought I wouldn't like anything in this release, but I have to say there are a few that look quite nice. I really like the 6 big coin circulation set, but at that price, I'm going to pass. The Emily Carr coin looks interesting, as does the Autumn coin. Too bad I'm still recovering from summer expenses.

Big Coin series is showing as awaiting stock. Also mentions mintage at 1,500 with no mention of the 350.

My favorite is the big coin series.

Looks like it has been moved to the end of the page. Was it even available on the site?

Do not be confused with the numbers, guys.
This is the same as for other subs.

Mintage not equal to the sets amount
Mintage = 1500
Sets = 350

The subscription will give you free box and coin allocation.
For general collectability the factor is mintage. Other like attributes, so the amount of the cases is very small.

No, they were never on the site. They were sold out when reps offered them to MC members one day before today's release. Considering they had only 350 subscriptions it was a easy sellout. You could still get them as individual coins since they made 1500 each of them. Although I dont see the indivdual coins listed yet.

My rep says they were sold out on Tuesday morning. He is trying to find me a set. Maybe I am on standy-by for a cancellation, not really sure.

I just cancelled my order so there should be one more added to the list. Hopefully you are number one on the waiting list...

I just received the catalogue in the mail today. Sooooo many coins ! I think the $20 Autumn Falls is quite nice. The $15 Viking Quest is also interesting. The ducks are cute.

But I'll pass on all of it, except the $200 for $200 maybe. But it's awaiting stock. Oh well...

For the ducks, there is a change from the previous coins where the silver & cupronickel coins had different designs. These use the same for both. Oh, well, this means I have no desire to buy both. RCM, you lost at least one potential buyer for the silver version.

I agree this is bad... I liked the idea of having the same ducks with different image. I'm pretty sure many people were buying both before and now will only get one.
