For the Carr coins, just remember the Bateman, and group of seven releases, you can buy all you want at any show for well under issue.

Subs will be sold out. Pricey, but not too much.
People, who want to get 3-4 cons - the subscription will be worth to them.

Emily Carr' set - for "loaded" people.
Without any offence - some will buy this one, and other will enjoy 2 sets (2013+2014) of Superman.

I like the designs (appear on the box), ordered "part of this set" - 1oz silver

Not exactly:
there is no hype about the Carr coins, sets were purchased for collections....I think, nothing to resell here. Nowhere later we will find the "box for sale.
The 1 oz Carr coin - could be everything, might be un-sold, or hoarded like 2013 Mask coin (this one repeated Bateman's Moose).

Comparing the Emily Carr coin set to the group of seven box set is a bit unfair since there are only 100 of the Emily Carr Sets compared to the thousands of group of 7 sets. I doubt you will find too many of the Emily Carr sets at shows.

The hefty price tag of the Emily Carr Set will appeal more to serious collectors than flippers. People buying them will keep them.

I doubt too many coins shops will have them either since it ties up lot of money for small time coin shops. The only store carrying them will likely be Gatewest.

Last fall Torex, a collector was trying to sell a gold kilo dragon at the show, was asking issue price, mintage around 50, only best offers from dealers were bullion price. These special themed coins are really hard to hold values, but if the RCM would have done this exact set with the 5 oz. original design circulating coins, it would be much in desire, but as always each to your own.

The first I heard of the 5 oz coins was from an email from my rep this morning listing the new coins for September. I was under the impression that there is only 350 of each of the 5 oz coin being sold. To the best of my knowledge, it doesn't list the mintage as 1500 anywhere in the email. Am I mistaken in thinking the total mintage of each 5 oz coin is just 350? If it is higher, the description is very misleading and I will be cancelling my order.

@Redzapsid...

I tried to place the order for the five coin subscription earlier today but my mint rep said that the subscription was sold out. He then said could get me a coin regardless. This leads me to believe that the mintage for the subscription is 350, but the mintage for the coins themselves is higher.

It appears that the actual mintage of 350 might be referring to the "elegant wood box" that comes with the subscription and not the coins. :)

I was asked to be put on a waiting list to see if anybody cancels there order (*hint*hint*).

Per the paper catalogue, the mintage for each 5 oz is 1500.

Each 5 oz. coin has a 1500 mintage, but apparently there will be only 350 wooden cases for the sets.

@ Redzapsid:

Here, exactly as it written:

This unique six-coin subscription is limited to only 350 sets worldwide and comes with an elegant wooden collector case, which is free when you subscribe.

So, appears 350 sets, the mintage (coins) could be 350.000
But knowing some RCM patterns, people say, that the mintage is 1500 for each of the coins.
If you can afford it - keep the subscription...looks like anyway you will buy most of the coins.

Btw..."limited mintage" - I have 2012 1oz .999 Proof-like bullion coin from Greenland (minted I think by the Dutch Royal Mint), in the mintage is.... only 900. Do you think, someone cares about this fact and need this coin?
So it is great (limited mintage), but the coins - this what important, and for 1500 mintage these (5oz coins) are great.

Mintage of 5oz coins is 1,500.
350 is for the limited amount of subscription (so boxes) available.

This is clearly indicated in RCM booklet.

I got to say, I'm a little disappointed to learn that there are more than 350 of each coin. I told my rep I wanted to get all the coins in this set. I'm starting to wonder if it is actually the subscription I'm going to receive or just the 6 individual coins. The mintage being 1500 and not 350 is a huge factor to me. My decision to order these coins was based on a low mintage series. As with most other 5 oz coins in the past (with the exception of the penny), I'm pretty sure I will find them cheaper in the future. With $3300 as the total cost, I'd rather just get bullion at this point. 155 oz vs. 30 oz. Although these are the nicest coins I've seen in years (my opinion), I'm leaning towards cancelling my order.

Plus $3300 would tie up more money in one year than I can afford to normally spend. Knowing that by the time the last coin is actually in my hand, there will be another few hundred coins to choose from doesn't make me feel like ordering these is a good idea either.

The uniqueness of these, that very rarely the NCLT repeat the circulation design (I not refer to the annual sets), and specially - this is full set of them. Don't remember, that RCM issued such set in the past. Except the "Farewell to Penny" items, they were small gold coins (Caribou, Biver, Voyageur...)

So, sure we will have many new items, and each new item will be popular, unlike the old one, but these will be outstanding.
