johnny54321 Rest in Peace United States 4849 Posts	Posted 08/20/2014 9:12 pm I had been getting some complaints about glare in my pics, so I used some softer lighting. It looks nice, but sacrifices some detail, but at least it doesn't overemphasize flaws. The C is slightly weak in the pictures, but is not notated as "weak C" and is fully visible in hand. The coin also has a touch of semi-proof like qualities, more noticeable on the reverse. Report this Post to the Staff

Every hairline, scruff and abrasion is overly emphasized beyond reality, but there is more detail in the pics. I think I like the 1st set better, even with less detail, I think it is more representative of the coin overall. thoughts? Report this Post to the Staff

westcoin Pillar of the Community United States 9796 Posts	Posted 08/21/2014 04:49 am Very tough call, as I just refreshed by looking at some over on Heritage. This one appears to be around AU55 to MS62, there are some MS62 that on Heritage that look more worn, and some AU coins that appear to be mid range MS. The "C" is weakly struck when comparing to others, this is the second most common Charlotte gold coin, so I'd imagine that many are in the AU/MS range.
