Xanonite Valued Member Canada 218 Posts	Posted 09/07/2014 6:32 pm The coin does look like is was squished somehow. The 9 in the date is definitely not as thin as the other numbers. Is it thinner on one side of the coin? You can try weighing it also and compare it to a regular weight. I don't think a light strike would have left a thick 9. Even if it was struck through something or die adjustment strike of some sort, the rim would still be raised. Here, it is not. It looks like it was wet-sanded down on one side, and retoned with time. Perhaps it was once on its way to becoming a love token or something... This sort of thing is stuff you find in a "junk bin", worth maybe 25-cents.
