Quote: CelticKnot.... I believe the first link is a mock-up, but the second is the real deal. I had the same thought about the first link; How could they slab coins that haven't yet been issued from the Mint? Fake fake fake! I never had any interest in ANA as they seem to be shysters and not numismatics.

Yes, all four coins are silver. Yes the new Mint ordering system is supposed to be up by then, http://www.coinnews.net/2014/09/03/...rder-system/, which indicates: â—¾September 19 â€" all expedited orders must be placed by this day. All orders placed after the 19th will not ship until October 1st. â—¾September 23 â€" last day for order shipments until October 1. â—¾October 1 â€" resumption of normal ordering procedures and delivery times under the new solution.

Comment deleted, I made a date error that made the comment nonsense.

Thanks for posting that link.
I was sort of hoping for a wood box ... But that will do

Yeah, seems a bit... cheap.
However, it is the coins that matter.

Nice to see it made the mint site.
I like that they have it listed out far enough, so I can put money away. So I can buy a couple sets.
So with no limit on production .. and 5 per household. I don't think these are going to go up in price and stay there.
Might be more like the Comm baseball dollar. Spike up then come back down.

Nice! The holder does not look as cheap in the mint photos, but still not fancy. It actually looks a little retro. I am sure it will grow on me more as the 28th of October approaches.

I, too, was looking for a wooden box but I like the look regardless. Can't wait to get these puppies in hand.

I also think the packaging looks a little cheap. I was kind of hoping for something like the gold coin or the enhanced ASE set that was released last year. The coins look great though and I will try to brave the ordering system to buy a set. I have never ordered anything from the mint so it should be interesting. Anyone got any tips for me?

I was on the fence when I thought they would be .999 silver. I just checked out the us mint website and noticed the Kennedy silver set coins are only 90% silver. I may regret it years from now but I may pass on this one.

Hi, Hop Devil. Why would 90% make you pass?

Do you notice in the mint link the set appears to just be using regular coins and not the special coins. (Although they do appear to be the high relief type)
