Emperor Kujulas Kadphises was the first emperor of the Kushan empire from 30-80 AD. Not the greatest looking coin but a very important one in the history of the Kushan empire.

Obverse: Bust of king surrounded by the Greek legend Basileos Stirossu Ermaiou (King Hermaeus the Saviour)
Reverse: Hercules standing holding a club and Lion skin with Kharoshti legend KASANA KUSHANA YAVUGASA DHRAMATHIDASA

Now thats the First Kushan coin. Well played Ron. A rare and wonderful find. Your example is sooooo much better than others available on the market. Surely better than mine...

oh cool...the first kushan. I don't know why more people aren't into eastern coins...but I'm kind of glad everyone's fighting over the romans and western greeks, you can snag some eastern coin on the cheap.

Just thought I would share this coin here, to show the base type from which yours drew its style (yes I know the subjects are different...but I mean to show the style from which I think it evolved)

Since I don't have a coin from this ruler, I might be prepared to offer you a profit - as long as it still stays cheap

Nice coin - congrats

Yes, the coin was based off of Hermaios, hence the legend of Hermaeus. These two coins a very much related so it fits into the thread.
