Looks like the dealers offer of $6200 was spot on. My local coin shop was watching this and predicted $6000 - $6300.

Now, just think, you could use that $ 6k to get one heck of a high tech metal detector to go where no man has ever gone before...

That coin will be repaired and resubmitted.

Congrats with the auction Dr. Tones... Was hoping for a bigger price for ya... But nonetheless, you still came out ahead with nothing to be disappointed about...

I was pleased that the coin sold - no one notified me when the auction was - keeping an interested bidder out of the action. No problems....

I could have used it to finish off my 2nd set, especially for the amount it sold for..

Well, if you missed her the first time, she's on ebay now at $14,995.00! (Item number 291384100908 )

The Seller's pics appear to be intentionally "fuzzy" to hide the damage.

I think they are more manipulating the lighting than making it fuzzy. You can see the other details clearly, but the scratch looks like nothing more than a bag mark. People would probably be wondering "Where's the damage the holder says it has?"
