DoubleEagle20 Pillar of the Community United States 1748 Posts	Posted 01/03/2015 10:44 pm If it's a 1968 uncirculated mint set, there is only a 1968 Philly and Denver dime. No uncirculated SF dimes were made that year. The "S"- less dimes were in the proof sets for that year. The years for the "S"- less proofs were 1968, 1970, 1975 and 1983, so keep a close eye on those year proof sets if you look at any of them. They are really cheap and you just may find an "S"-less dime set in a batch of them at a coin show. Sometimes that kinda thing goes unnoticed, especially with cupronickel clad coins. cladking Pillar of the Community United States 2271 Posts	Posted 01/04/2015 7:00 pm They inadvertantly mixed up coins but I've never heard of a proof in a mint set. There are some very spectacular PL '68-P dimes that are mistaklen for proofs once in a while. Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps. Report this Post to the Staff
