sllyonsjr421 Valued Member United States 101 Posts	Posted 09/29/2007 10:44 am I am looking at this auction on ebay and I kinda like the toning and wanted to get some feedback on whether you guys think its artificial or natural. Looks natural to me as it starts from the outside rim and only tones in a slight amount in a circle. The pictures will explain it better. anyway this is the link let me know what you guys think. I would love to get a nice toner in my set if its natural. just carl Bedrock of the Community United States 20753 Posts	Posted 09/29/2007 11:23 am Maybe it's my monitor or the seller just has no ability to take photos, but that coin appears to be just very dark, not toned, just dark. Might be dirt, bad photo, poor lighting, etc. I just would never take a chance on something I can't see very, very well. Report this Post to the Staff

My guess is someone wiped it down a long time ago before sticking it in an album. Any nickel that dark but with those details, has had some sort of environmental "eperience" that leads me to question it's history.
