Don't worry about any of the forum things. Coin Community is a teaching community by mission, and we'll happily teach a new collector whatever they need to know to succeed in today's numismatic world.
I fear some attention needs to be paid to paddy murphy and Double Eagle. I am not the local expert on Trade dollars, and they're better-qualified to judge. Let's not worry about the color for the moment. Try the best you can to get clear images with the coin nice and square to the camera, as angled shots distort the relationships between features which help define the coin's authenticity. We can then tell for sure if the reverse design is one used in that year.
The only definitive test that will meet YOUR inquiry is for YOU to send the coin in for third party grading. ANACS would probably be your most economical option and quickest turnaround time. There is no membership fee to submit.
You can find all the info you need regarding submissions online.
Thanks for your comments everyone. Really appreciate the feedback. Due to the pictures being taken on an angle and not being able to determine proper proportions, I have taken 2 new ones that are flat and straight on. Hope these help determine whether this coin is real or not and grade. Best, Julie
