A little acetone and Verdicare and she will fill a hole very nicely. Maybe AG3/3. I'm a sucker for these dark original looking ones.

Snag. Plenty of meat left, perfectly original surfaces and a little verdigris but you've already got that licked. I'd spend more than that on the beer I drank while studying it.

It should be mentioned, though, that it doesn't appear to be an 1831....

Are you thinking maybe 1821? I see the 18_1, can't tell if it's a 3 or a 2.

1831 medium letters; N-3 R1; this reverse die is super common when used in 1831, but becomes the ever so tough N5 when used again in 1834 which is the Large Date, Large Stars, Medium letters variety.....
