This 1923 Peace dollar has been circulated but you can see the die crack in the upper right corner of the coin.

Abe I know nothing about the peace VAM's but you can take a look here and see if you can find anything which might match your coin .

I think I can see 3 spiked heads on the coin.

I am not sure what you are seeing but I can tell you I don't see anything out of the ordinary as far as double struck or anything like that. I am no Peace dollar man myself either but I know Morgan dollars with die cracks are very common and since the Peace dollar was minted with the same type of planchets the chances are pretty good they occurred on this series just as much as on the Morgans (just the Morgans were minted longer than the Peace)
