All I can say is that I'm pretty sure it's not a coin. I think it is some sort of religious token.

Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will offer an opinion.

I beleieve that this is a Rechenpfenning by Johann Jacob Dietzel circa 1711-1748. Wish I had more info for you.

Echizento is spot on with this one. A rechenpfennig is a kind of jeton or token, typically used as a counter on a reckoning board, or as a "gambling chip" in games of chance. These were often made in Nuremberg, Germany.

This site is most excellent for identifying and dating these tokens.

Bonedigger posted a similar one in this thread.
