ANA - The Brasher Doubloon, the first gold coin minted in the United States, is showing at the Money Museum through July 2015. Stop by and see this amazing coin at the Money Museum, 818 N. Cascade Ave. The Money Museum is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Big thanks to Monaco Rare Coins for allowing the museum to display this rare and unique artifact.
I got to hold two of these counterstamped on wing and the other counterstamped on the breast, both from the Garrett sale, I held them before slabbing coins was around, so they were in plastic flips, Dave Bowers had them in his pocket at a Mid Winter ANA show in Colorado Springs right before the Garrett sale. They are beautiful coins.
