To be honest, when I first saw that coin,it has the look of one that was cleaned a long time ago and is starting to retone..

OK. 1) Look at the reverse breast feathers, neck and the talons. If that doesn't tell you the coin is Mint State, use this as a teaching moment. This is incontrovertibly a Mint State Morgan, and not a poorly-graded one. It's all in knowing first, what a Mint State Morgan looks like - if the reverse ain't worn, the obverse can't be - and second, what even the best digital imagery does to a coin's appearance especially in a slab. They had too much overhead light. 2) I just discussed this type of toning earlier today: https://goccf.com/t/228869Believe what you wish, and by all means trumpet this as circulated. Somebody reading will get it for a song as a result.

Yes, it is uncirculated and I would imagine the coin is very pretty under the right lighting.

Looks scratched up behind her head. Especially a big ole scratch that carries from her hat into the surround field

That's a terrible picture of it. I wouldn't buy it based on that picture alone.

It kind of has the same look as Darth Morgan's avatar coin.

The opening bid is about full retail for an MS-64 1880-S so whoever is going to bid on this coin will be because he really likes the toning and is willing to pay a premium for it. True, and if it gets much bidding I'd be out. I'm unsure it gets a bid at all, and if I were planning on it I'd be straight-up manually sniping near the end at about $85 max.

I'd say MS64 is right on the money grade wise. If the strike was stronger, this coin could easily go MS65+ and some people pay a slight premium for toning like this.
