foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 01/23/2008 7:57 pm It is Machine Doubling. also this coin was struck by a worn die. The word GOD is a nice example of what to look for with Machine Doubling. Look especially at the bottom of the D. The metal is scraped in such a way as to make the bottom of the D look thinner than it is on a coin not effected by this. That is one of the benchmarks of Machine Doubling.
