It is saying something when the RCM can't sell out the 300 or so gold coins over a 5 day period. Especially with the thousands of MC members out there. This morning I checked the number of gold coins available and the number was 174. This evening the number available is 172. So they sold a grand total of 2 coins in one day. Pathetic.

Out of curiosity, where do you see the quantity available.

When you are in the cart, put in a large number like 200. If it says insufficient stock, just put in smaller numbers in the cart until the insufficient stock warning goes away.

I have bought the past Superman gold coins but this one just does not cut it for me. They should've decreased the price to account for the increased mintage, it is really disappointing and of course they deleted my review on the site.

Even leave the mintage alone, guys. After all, this just painted coin with minimal efforts of design. Paying 650+ for 14kt gold, what for?

Reminds me a little of the first superman coin, nobody cared then it took off but I still think this one will tank, the theme is over done.

So true, John Cause except several collectors (on these forums, I mean), people started to like it, while public started to buy it.

well we will know soon once it's out of the MC. Keep in mind, there were plenty of Egg coins available before it went public. Any MC member could of gotten more than 1 egg coin if they wanted and we all thought it's ugly and gimmicky and only cater to certain group. But then they sold out once it goes public. Not saying this gold coin will do the same but we will know soon enough.

Ontario based dealers - Colonial Acres and The Coin Shoppe already listed the coins on their websites. At this point all the coins could be get for issue. Is someone planning to order 1kg (without packaging weight) of these coins?

long time since ive posted on Superman but I'm not too impressed with the continuing 2016 efforts of the RCM to sell superhero bling ...I didnt buy 2015 yet and wouldnt buy the new gold because I dont like the design..I prefer the traditional golden age designs......I mean the original reason behind releasing 2013 Superman coins was the Canadian birth of the original Superman artist Joe Shuster who was born in Toronto ....so now they are just selling out their original justification for making Superman a Canadian content coin by producing all these newer designs ...Of course they are are trying to appeal to the new generations of Superman fans ......I ...from the older boomer generation... will still buy the traditional designs and my all time favorite is the 2014 action 1 cover with the green car in silver...go Superman! I still think the gold coins are great investments tho.... over the long term..they will stand up..I sold all my gold but I will buy more .......prices are still ok on the 2014 and 2015 golds....and other silver coins......the 2013 issue is the best series to invest in....

I can't help but smile when I remember how a RCM customer decried the violence depicted on the $50-for-$50 Wolf/Hare chase coin, but this new $20-for-$20 coin shows Superman and Batman in a fist fight.

The Superman/Batman coins are now in public release. Don't need to be a MC member to order them. Available for sale at dealers and Canada Post. Not sold out anywhere yet. The RCM had 65 gold coins as of 11:30 PST, 2 hours later they have 56 coins. Interesting the Coin Shoppe is giving 5% discount for the new Superman/Batman coins. Wouldn't need to give the discount if there was large demand for them. I am pretty sure collectors are fatigue with so many Superman coins out there.

There are 42 of them right now on RCM. Too bad the 5% doesn't cover the tax... Edit: I have to say, I am slightly disappointed with the $20 for $20. But then again, it is expected. The coin is too small to see anything.

Quote: I know coinshoppe has 3% off all coins, how do you get the extra 2% for the b v sm? I got an email from them saying, "we are offering 5% off for a limited time. Once the code stops working we have surpassed the number of offerings for that coin" The code is RCM5OFF. Code no longer works for the gold coin. You could try Gatewest Coins for 5% off new releases. Although they don't have the coins yet.
