I joined the forum on May 4th, 2015, two days after attending a coin show (I'm going to the same annual show this Saturday). I was interested in English hammered coins, so my first avatar was some sort of hammered piece which was already one of the options. At the show I purchased an Edward III groat, fourth coinage, pre-treaty, struck 1354-55. I wanted to use it for my avatar but my photography skills were awful at the time, by which I mean even worse than they are now, so I found a picture online of another one of the same type and used that. I'm considering switching to a coin I purchased in January which will be featured on GTP soon. Report this Post to the Staff
