Hello,

I have taken an interest in Canadian specimen coins time and again over the years...I am wondering if anyone knows a place to buy these type of coins, the less common stuff, not the usual 1937 and 1908 coinage that I see often on ebay...anyone know of some good sources?
Thank you

You can find a few on ebay, but not that many. Try heritage auctions. If you're looking to deal with people, there are a few places you can look up. JandM have some, CDN coin & currency has some. At the Toronto coin expo, there's always a table with specimens and patterns. The owner's name is Sandy Campbell. He's from Proof Positive Coins Ltd. you can find contact info online. For typical dates, I believe he usually sells them in sets (I.e. The whole set rather than individual pieces). But for some less common dates, I think you can find many singles from him.

, but bear in mind that Sandy usually has top-notch coins, which are never cheap!!
