I think you must have meant the denticles are all wrong. The edges of a coin are reeded, but can't be seen in either photo.

To me it looks like one of the products from the Chinese fake makers. And I agree about the crenulated rim or denticles- not reeding.
Reeding or a milled edge is not shown in the pictures.

Agree with the crowd appears to be a low quality modern fake - they didn't even try to copy the design

It's not genuine, but you didn't say what size it is. Is it half dollar or dollar size? If it's half dollar siz, at least some of the detail is closer to the real thing, although anyone who is familiar with 1795 half dollars could spot that one instantly.

@nss-52 go to the flea market and buy a box of world coins you never know what you will get.

@ billjones its dollar size.

@ Night-Hawk coin is going to be sent to swamperbob. where everyone will be able to see all the fakes is has gotten.
