Thought you might find it amusing.

Hint: If you're going to lie and say that the coins you bought on ebay last month have "been in your dad's safe for decades," buy them under a different ebay username than the one you're selling them under. Makes you look less obvious.

LOL! I can only wonder why people fabricate these "estate sale, attic, granny's money jar, or dad's safe" stories?
--so the coins appear to be unchecked, uncleaned, and more desirable somehow?

Update: I just read this one on ebay; whether true or not I won't guess:
quote:
My almost 96 year old grandfather needs money to help pay for the nursing home, so we are selling some of his coins. These coins have been in Grampa's safe for 30+ years & to our knowledge have not been cleaned or waxed.

Sorry Dave but I really wanted to get a response from the guy too

Climate Controlled safe from the 50's eh?

I find that hard to believe since you just bought it for $23 a month ago

Please don't lie on ebay. It never does anyone any good.

thanks!

Don't educate the crooks! It's more fun seeing their stupid mistakes.

I lived in Nebraska for 8 years. The only thing they have a hoard of are gray skies, snow, and 1 tree

Hey for the two of you who lit him up, did he respond? This is hilarious. From my own experience, I sell used plain football helmets on ebay mainly. One buyer of mine I have noticed is also buying decals and then putting them on the helmets and calling the helmets authentic game used helmets (which command quite a premium). I cant prove it yet, but when I am able to...game on! (pun intended)
