closelook Valued Member United States 131 Posts	Posted 03/13/2008 10:13 am I think this is Machine Doubling. some parts of the coin look almost like dd. not sure what happened when I uploaded pics,only 1 went into post,others whent into previously uploaded files and they did not come out clear when I transfered them. If the resulting letters are thinner than they should be...machine doubling. If it looks like two sets of letters with the same relief are overlapping one another...doubled die.
